Nashville Bound

I am so incredibly excited to be heading to Nashville, TN again this summer for the Country Music Association Festival (aka CMA Fest)! This is the 40th year of the event so I'm sure it's going to be big fun. Unfortunately, Carrie Underwood is not one of the mainstage performers this year--she is heading to Australia instead (I'm happy that my Core sister will get a chance to see Carrie Down Under). No worries though friends, I will actually get to see Carrie more this year than last year.

Last year my sister was brave enough to go with me to Nashville for 4 days. This year, my parents are voluntarily committing themselves to 8 days whole with me on the quest to conquer the Music City. They'll get to lay low for the first 3 days but after that my sister joins us and it's on!

Itinerary

Monday-

• road trip!!!!  Mix Master Mueller is making me a few cds and I've checked out 26 cds from the library to keep the music flowing.
• check in at Fiddler's Inn and dinner plus live music at the legendary Blue Bird Cafe. But if we're tired there is a Cracker Barrel literally next door to the hotel (that may have swayed my decision to stay there a tiny bit).

Tuesday-

• Carrie Underwood Fan Club Party at the Grand Ole Opry
• lunch at South Street Smokehouse Crab Shack
• party on the Opry patio
• Back to back concerts at the Opry (Martina McBride, Lady Antebellum, Darius Rucker, Jerrod Niemann, and of course Carrie Underwood)

Wednesday-

• Pancake Pantry
• Gigi's Cupcakes
• CMA Music Festival Kick-Off Parade
• Festival Block Party
• Country Music Television (CMT) Awards. Look for me on tv!

Thursday-
There is way too much going on at the festival to outline it all, so I'll just hit the highlights for the evening concerts. It's four full days of live music, concerts, autograph signings, and events that takes up most of downtown and LP Field where the Titans play football
