One of my favorite authors, Emily Giffin, posted an article that she read titled "Top Five Regrets of the Dying". Within two hours of sharing that post she learned that a friend of hers was killed in a plane crash in Colorado.
So today I stop and ask myself: how many times do I have to see the signs or be told that life is precious before I truly embrace my own wonderful and unique life? I don't want to find myself with these same five regrets. Not when I've been shown that I can choose to be happy and choose to live my life in a way without regrets. "I have called you by name; you are mine. When you pass through deep waters, I will be with you; your troubles will not overwhelm you." -Isaiah 43:1-2

- I wish I'd had the courage to live a life true to myself, not the life others expected of me.
- I wish I didn't work so hard.
- I wish I'd had the courage to express my feelings.
- I wish I had stayed in touch with my friends.
- I wish that I had let myself be happier.
