Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!! For all the warm birthday wishes I received today. This year, more than many, I was able to appreciate the value in being known and loved. I did not disregard the messages from people I hadn't corresponded with in six years as you-just-said-it-because-it-popped-up-on-your-news feed. I remembered that each person had a choice to make and for their own reasons felt it was worth it to send me birthday blessings. I was so shocked by some of the people who reached out to me from my past.
I was remembered by: my family, the Core, the JIPsters, a long lost friend, a longer long lost friend, classmates, new acquaintances, co-workers, and the automated reply system from Carrie Underwood's team.
This birthday brought with it a light to rekindle old relationships and remember how good it feels to be embraced by love!
My hope for the day was for others to have a good day because it was my birthday. One person scored free dinner, another found $6, and several had brownies & half baked. I hope that where ever you were you had a brilliant day and that where ever you are now (even if it's past July 20th) that you'll treat yourself to a special day on my behalf.
The best is yet to come,
~Adwoa
