Anyone who knows me long enough will learn how much I love free swag. I will sign up for the army listserv, join a club, and even volunteer all day just for free tshirt. Well today I was told that I would be going to a site to build for 8 hours. My thoughts consisted of: wow thanks for letting me know, 4 hours is long enough, and I wonder what it will be like to really be part of the crew? Well I stuck around until almost everyone had left the office and my dear colleague on her way out asked if I had gotten my habitat shirt for tomorrow. I calmly replied “no, what shirt?”. Well I got swagged out friends! 2 t-shirts, 1 polo shirt, and a bucket hat all with Habitat logos. Cha-ching! So let’s just say I’m a lot more excited about my 8 hour day than I was before. Not to mention our lunch is grilled salmon and other snazzy vegetables. Plus for an extra bonus I am wearing my Duke shorts to the site because they match perfectly with my new Habitat shirt, so I’m sure that will cause quite a commotion. Let the good times roll!
